Blue Mountain

Today we went up past Jensen and rode fourwheelers. We went all the way on top of Blue Mountain! Dad,me, Adam, Kristy, and Tori all went. This will probably be our last summer ride since the warm seems to be going away quickly. It was such a nice day, it was hard to stay inside! We rode about 50 miles. I had a really nice ride other than I got attacked! It was the scariest thing in my whole life! Dad and I stopped so everyone could catch up. I looked over at the tree next to us and saw my worst nightmare; a mouse!!! And then it got worse...it jumped on me! I screamed and then jumped off the wheeler as fast as I could. Dad said I almost knocked him off too! It was terrible...but I think I can still ride!

Grandma in the woods!

I'm updating mom's blog for her since she won't do it!!! We went up to the mountains the first part of August for a night. We only stayed one night, but it was so fun! Mom, me (Holly), my two kids, and Tori went up. We went for a ride on the wheelers, made our own fire (no gas!), and roasted hotdogs. It was a nice getaway for the night. I took a few pictures of Mom and the kids to practice my photo taking, so here you go!

Afternoon Getaway

Kerry and I went for an afternoon ride north of Vernal. We went to the Sheep Creek geological loop. It was beautiful! It snowed the day before and everything was so clean and fresh. It was a needed getaway and fun to see new country.

Grandma's Christmas Party (No parents allowed!)

I had a Christmas party for the older grandkids again this year. There were 8 grandkids that were old enough to participate. We had pizza for lunch-every kids fav.-, we played bingo for lots and LOTS of prizes!, and we made snowflake cookies out of flour tortillas. The kids had so much fun. I even wore reindeer antlers! The kids frequently informed their parents that they were not invited; they were delighted that it was just them and Grandma. Grandpa conviently had to work that afternoon. I think it will be a tradition that I'll continue to carry on as long as there are little bodies that want to participate!
